Garden Centre Team Member (Part-Time and/or Casual)
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic team member to join our garden centre on a part-time or casual basis. This role will also provide extra support during holiday periods.
Working alongside our team, you will help care for our plants, assist customers, and contribute to maintaining a welcoming and well-presented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Caring for plant health through watering, pruning, and general maintenance
Restocking and thoughtfully rotating plant displays
Maintaining a clean, organised and visually appealing nursery space
Assisting customers with plant selection, so you must have a broad knowledge of plant species and a flair for creating great gardens.
Supporting day-to-day operations and general tasks as required
About You
A genuine interest in plants and gardening
Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
Reliable, with a willingness to learn and grow as well as be able work in a fast paced environment sometimes.
Comfortable with physical tasks and working outdoors including the heat in summer
Progression in this role includes taking responsibility for training, guiding, Setting standards for juniors
Preferred Experience
Background in horticulture, or
A strong personal interest and hands-on experience with plants and gardens
